Dean Collins Shim Sham: Part 1
Date: Saturday 10th October 2026
About: PART 1. The Dean Collins Shim Sham is a famous stylised take on the original choreographed by Hollywood/LA dancer Dean Collins. Unlike the standard Lindy Hop Shim Sham, which is commonly performed at social dances, the Collins version was originally created as a three-man performance piece and is a more advanced routine. Tranky Doo: Two Part Series
Date: Saturday 12th June & 19th June 2027
About: One of the “big three” classic solo jazz routines along with the Shim Sham and the Big Apple – it’s a must know intermediates routine for swing dancers. Choreographed during the 1940s Swing Era by Lindy Hop legend Frankie Manning, this high-energy routine is famous for its appearance in the historic documentary The Spirit Moves and is a masterclass in rhythm, style, and jazz vocabulary. Mama’s Stew
